Hello, my name is Tyler Munden and I've been designing games my whole life. Things got busy in 1998 when Valve released a game called Half-Life, and I started building levels. I credited all my releases with the name Tylak.
In 2003 I graduated from Full Sail University with a degree in Computer Animation. It really expanded my skillset in a practical way. Specifically, I spent every day learning Maya for about two years. But I also learned more about audio and video editing, Photoshop, scripting, compositing, traditional art mediums, and project management and presentation.
Then I went on to be a professional level designer at 2015 inc and N-Fusion Interactive. I've spent the last two decades learning the full production cycle of video games, from concept to release and support. I also learned to code (GML, JS, C#).
I'm currently working remotely out of Columbus, Ohio. But I also love travelling for work and doing on-site meetings and presentations.
I work primarily in Unity and Unreal, but I also enjoy working with programmers on proprietary engines and custom tools.
Feel free to contact me at tylak@tylak.com
